Wangedigal is a well-known hiking spot. especially among the local young crowd. Wangedigala is located in kalupahana, badulla district. Wangedigala mountain range extends to 3 mountains named Wangedi-Kanda, Balatuduwa, and the last Gonmoliya. Gonmoliya is approximately 2,3034 meters high and is the 14th highest mountain in Sri Lanka.

Dethanagala is one of the highest mountain which can be seen in Balangoda town. The hike is not easy compared to other hikes in this area and is not much popular among the local hikers.
