After our beautiful journey to Nuwara Eliya which can be read here. We set our sights in Kandy. Our first destination was the Ramboda falls however we decided to stop by Oak Ray Tea Bush before we head there.

It is strategically located near to many sites a travel enthusiast would crave for including 

Horton Plains National Park, World's end, Sita Temple, Devon Falls, Hakgala Botanic Gardens, Ramboda waterfalls, and Lover's Leap Falls.

This means you can engage in various activities including but not limited to Photography, Tea Factory Visit, Trekking, Cycling, Filming, Boat Ride, Hiking and Bird Watching, that is of course if you decide to stay here.

Oak Ray Tea Bush does provide many services and one of them is their hotel, given the location in Ramboda with a view of a lifetime, it might not be the worst decision. A view comprising of tea estates, green mountains surrounding the Kotmale reservoir is not a bad view to wake up to.
 

Even if you are not staying there you can try their wide array of food in their restaurant and they specifically cater to your taste palette in either buffet or ala carte menu.

Or you can do what we did and pay a visit to their tea center and tea shop. Sri Lanka is the exclusive exporter of world-famous “Ceylon Tea” (Ceylon is the name given to it during the colonial era) and this place holds a massive collection of Ceylon and other tea types, you can learn a lot about tea and also have a cup yourself or maybe take some original tea to your family. The extremely friendly staff here would definitely help you out with it, even if you are some regular joe or a tea connoisseur. There is also a bar in it, so even if tea is not up to your alley, there are always options here.

Overall it is one of the best places you can spend your time in more than one way and we recommend it to everyone.
